The location of the project is a peripheral area located in the hills of Collserola in Barcelona called “Torre Baró” (The Baron’s Tower). The close proximity of this old structure as well as the adjacent aqueduct represented a opportunity to regenerate this area. The reinterpretation of a tower as a new identity has been the starting point of the concept. The building is represented as an element in the form of tower together with two lower bodies. The result is an elevated open place as a unifying element of the three bodies. The patio can be considered as an extension of the multi-functional space which is located in the tower. Cultural events and leisure activities can be held outdoors.
